Peter Schneider is a Liverpool-born, German-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with over ten years of service in New Zealand’s Manawatu region.  His medical career began in the German Army, where he developed a strong interest in knee and hip function and replacement.  After earning his General Surgery certification, he completed four deployments to Afghanistan - three of which were humanitarian missions treating civilians injured during the Taliban conflict. Knee or Hip Joint Replacement.  

Arthritis of the knee or hip joint can cause pain and stiffness, making regular activities such as walking and bending difficult.  As arthritis progresses, conservative or nonsurgical treatments tend to lose their efficacy, and more definitive treatment may need to be considered.
